London, January 1, : , Hollywood actor Daniel Craig was awarded the same honor as James Bond’s secret agent role.The actor has been recognized in the New Year’s Honours List. Mirror.co.uk reports that Daniel Craig was made a Companion to the Order of St Michael & St George.This honour is the same as the one given to his character “007”.
In the New Year Honours List, Bond’s final role as Bond was recognized for his services in theatre and film.
This award is frequently given to diplomats.
James Bond (fiancé spy) is said to have held the title in all five films.
Craig, who was also James Bond’s honorary commandant in the Royal Navy before the September release of “No Time To Die”, was promoted to Honorary Commander in that same rank.
He was awarded a star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame the following month.He was recently named as the highest-paid actor of the year.
This was the 53-year old’s last outing as a secret agent.’No Time To Die’ had incredible box-office success, making it the fourth most successful Bond movie in history.
In 2006, he played the part of the British spy.The star then lit up screen with ‘Quantum Of Solace, ‘Skyfall and ‘Spectre.
After multiple delays due to pandemics, “No Time To Die” was finally released in September.This followed a royal premiere at London’s Royal Albert Hall in September.
The Prince of Wales, Duchess and Duchess Cornwall, and Billie Eilish, who performed the Bond theme song, were all present.
