New Delhi, Nov 27, : .Subroto Chatterjee is a sustainable products entrepreneur based in London and an environmental activist who will be cycling 300km in rural Rajasthan in December.

He is doing it to raise money for Rajasthan nurseries and to educate pets about diabetes.
Subroto has raised more than PS1000 through his global network of supporters via the gofundme platform.

He works with tree planting organizations in Odisha, Rajasthan, and Meghalaya.Chatterjee works in Rajasthan with Prof Shaymsunder Jyani, a plantation hero who won the UN land for life award for 2021.

These nurseries offer free saplings to anyone who can plant them as a member of their family.This unique concept (viz familial forest) guarantees plants survival of over 90%.Jyani has managed millions trees in Rajasthan and was awarded the presidential award.

Subroto, Odisha Paryavaran Sanrakshan Abhiyan has pledged 10,000 mangrove trees for 2022.

Worldview Impact India supports Meghalaya to plant chestnuts and other fruits.His sustainable products platform supports local nurseries and creates jobs.

Subroto will be visiting two parks he created in memory of his friend’s father and his brother-in-law, who died in 2021 during the second wave Covid pandemic.Subroto said, “This is the best way of paying tribute.”

The second reason for this trip was to raise awareness about diabetes in pets.This is a common condition that many pet owners are not aware of.Studies show that 1/300 dogs develop diabetes, but are not diagnosed.This can lead to complications later in life.

They will live as long as non-diabetic dogs if they eat right, exercise regularly and get insulin injections.Chatterjee stated that it is a good idea to test your pet’s glucose every six months.
