Not to mention the craze for Tamil Nadu hero Ajith.His latest film ‘Valimai’ has grossed almost Rs.36 Crore, looking at the collections, it is clear that he has a range of fan following.Valimai, directed by Vinod and released as Pan India, was released on February 24 in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam.
Produced by Bonnie Kapoor, the film did well over the weekend.
The film is said to have grossed over Rs 100 crore in Tamil Nadu alone.
It is said that the movie will continue to gross the same way for a few more days as there are no movies that would be released anytime soon.The film was also released in Telugu with the same title.
But there does not seem to be much response here.The reason for that is that everyone’s focus is on Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati movie ‘Bhimla Nayak’ that released on Feb 25th.
There was a fear about the film failing to sustain at the box office due to mixed talk, but the jump on Saturday is a positive sign and has given the hope for it to emerge as a hit film.The Boney Kapoor Production took a record non-holiday start by collecting Rs 28.50 crore on Thursday, followed by a rather low friday of Rs 11 Crore.The film came back to string on saturday with a Rs 13.25 crore figure.
