New Delhi 22 November : .The All India Tennis Association (AITA), Monday announced that players who wish to play in domestic tournaments will not need Rapid or RT-PCR testing.
AITA stated that all players must still be subject to temperature screening, social distancing and the wearing of masks at the event. AITA stated that tournament directors have the right, in the event of doubt, to obtain RT-PCR or Rapid test reports from any players, coaches, volunteers, or other persons present at the site.
All India Tennis Association (AITA), tweeted: “Dear players.This is about the Rapid and RTPCR tests in AITA tournaments.
AITA tournaments will no longer require Rapid or RTPCR testing.At the venue, temperature screening, social distancing and mask wearing are mandatory.If there is any doubt, however, tournament directors can request RTPCR reports from parents and players.
AITA’s ITF World Tennis Tour, currently in Gurugram (men), began on Monday.It will continue until November 28th for women.The last November tournament (women’s), will be held in Bangalore.It will begin on November 29.
AITA made earlier the Covid testing mandatory to all participants in order to provide safety for players, coaches and parents as well as tournament staff.
