While the global pandemic is spreading in India every nook and corner, the negligence is welcoming it with the open doors.A recent incident happened at Bapatla in Guntur is justifying it and caused outrage among the local people.
Going by the information, a person died on Wednesday suffering from Covid-19 in Bapatla and his family didn’t come to claim the dead body.
The doctors of the Bapatla government hospital have informed it to the municipal authorities for burial.But, due to the unavailability of an ambulance, the municipal staff has taken the dead body in an open rikshaw which caused fury among the people.
The incident has created chaos in the village and the district collector has asked for an enquiry.He has reportedly given memos to the municipal commissioner and sanitary inspector.
Also, the Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh assembly Kona Raghupati, who represents the same constituency, has ordered the officials to punish the culprits severely.
