Chandigarh : , Thursday, November 18th, 2008: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lakh Khattar said that the first skill university in the country is an important milestone because it helps to advance the society. To preside at the third founding day of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, the Chief Minister was present in Palwal.
Mool Chand Sharma, State Skill Development Minister, was among those present.Khattar reviewed progress in ongoing university work.
According to him, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for the university in order to provide skill-related training.
The university’s success will be significant in advancing the Prime Minister’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” campaign.
According to him, the university will have at least 12,000 graduates each year by 2030.
Presently, there are 4,000 skills being taught each year.
According to the Chief Minister, the university has an industry-integrated “Earn While Learn” model that allows students to learn and earn.
He said that it provides students with exposure and exposes them to real work so they can find better jobs in the future.
Sharma, the Skill Development Minister, stated that the university has entered into agreements with Maruti India Ltd., Reliance Healthians.and Anand Group in order to investigate the possibility of creating customized programs for workers of different industries.It also plans to conduct skill-upgradation programmes through its centre.
