Former minister and senior Indian National Congress leader M Satyanarayana Rao recently passed away due to corona at the NIMS Hospital, Hyderabad.He died while receiving treatment for corona in the NIMS hospital.

He served in the Congress party for a long time.

M Satyanarayana Ra won three terms as an MP from Karimnagar and won an MP seat in the joint Andhra Pradesh state.

He also served as the National Secretary of the Congress Party.During the tenure of YS Rajasekhar Reddy as Chief Minister, M.Satyanarayana Rao also served as RTC Chairman for some time.He also served as PCC Chief in the Joint AP State.

M Satyanarayana Rao started his political career as a student leader in the Karimnagar district.Later, he participated in the first Telangana movement.

Along with Indira Gandhi, he is known to be the closest to the Nehru family.M Satyanarayana Rao is a straightforward person and he used to say what is on his mind without hesitating.

The challenge thrown by M Satyanarayana Rao on KCR during the tenure of YSR Chief Minister led to the by-elections in Telangana.KCR won this election with a huge majority.
