Heavy rains and floods in Andhra Pradesh are making people discontented.The floods have claimed lives, property and crops in Nellore, Chittoor, Kadapa and Anantapur districts.
Now, the meteorological department said there was a possibility of another low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal.With this, there is a possibility of heavy rains in AP.
The surface periodicity extends up to 1.5 km above sea level, according to the Meteorological Department.It said another low-pressure area was likely to form in the southern Andaman Sea by November 28, and it may last till December 2.As a result, it is likely to rain for three days in AP, he said.
Light rains are expected in many parts of Rayalaseema and southern coastal areas today and tomorrow, officials said.Light rains are expected in some places and heavy to very heavy rains in parts of Rayalaseema, the Meteorological department said.
The floods in AP created havoc.There was a loss of life and property.
Kadapa, Chittoor and Nellore districts were badly affected due to the incessant rains.Thousands of acres of crops were submerged.
Many bodies have been recovered so far but, the whereabouts of others are still unknown.
