The divided Andhra Pradesh is throwing up very interesting results.Both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are taking place in Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra) and the newly created state of Telangana simultaneously.

The decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and create a separate state of Telangana seems to have benefitted Congress which is getting the maximum vote share in the region at 32 percent in Lok Sabha polls.However, majority of the respondents (30 percent) give the credit to the TRS which may get 26 percent votes, the survey said.

According to projections Jagan Mohan’s YSR Congress is likely to win 11-17 seats, TDP 10-16, Congress 6-12, TRS 6-12 and other 1-5

Andhra Pradesh:

In AP with 25 Lok Sabha and 175 Assembly seats, the YSR Congress Party led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is clearly ahead of the main rival TDP and the Congress.According to survey findings, the YSRCP is projected to get 45 per cent votes in both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

The TDP is expected to get 33 per cent in Lok Sabha and 39 per cent in Assembly elections.The Congress which is facing the decimation after the creation of Telangana is expected to get 16 per cent votes in Lok Sabha and 12 per cent votes in the Assembly polls.

The BJP which is a fringe force in AP seems to have lost its vote share.

In Lok Sabha, it is expected to get 3 per cent votes and in Assembly it is expected to get 1 per cent votes.

The others are likely to get 3 per cent votes.

Telangana:

The TRS is the clear choice of the people in the Assembly elections.It is expected to get 42 per cent votes.The Congress which is trying to take all the credit for the creation of a new state is expected to get just 20 per cent votes in the Assembly elections.

The TDP is expected to get 11 per cent, the BJP 6 per cent, the YSRCP 2 per cent and others including the MIM are expected to get 19 per cent of the votes respectively in the Assembly elections.

In Lok Sabha polls, the Congress is ahead of the TRS.The Congress is expected to get 32 per cent votes and the TRS 26 per cent votes respectively.The TDP is expected to get 11 per cent, the BJP 10 per cent, the YSRCP 1 per cent, the AAP 2 per cent and the others 18 per cent votes respectively.
