The Chief Minister stated that each damaged acre of crop in the state would receive a compensation of Rs.10,000.According to reports, around 2,28,000 acres of land were affected by the rains, resulting in significant losses for tenant farmers.

The officers in charge will oversee the distribution of compensation to the affected farmers.

He clarified there is no need for financial aid from the Central Government.

The BJP government has not implemented a single-benefit policy for farmers in the country.Instead, he accused them of prioritizing politics over the welfare of farmers and the people.

In contrast, KCR emphasized that the BRS government was committed to working for the welfare of farmers and that its efforts had resulted in significant progress for farmers.

“We don’t want to depend on the Centre as it takes at least six months for it to respond.

The Centre has never responded positively in earlier instances when farmers suffered due to vagaries of nature. We would extend an amount of Rs 228 crore as relief and rehabilitation support to farmers on behalf of the State government,” Chandrashekhar Rao said. Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari was directed to issue necessary orders in that connection.
