CM Jagan launches Jagananna Pachathoranam at Mangalagiri AIIMS premises

The YCP government led by Chief Minister YS Jagan has initiated a saplings plantation program to protect the environment from climatic change.The AP govt has started this program under the name of ‘Jagananna Pachatoranam’.

In this context, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the Vana Mahotsavam program at the AIIMS premises in Mangalagiri.Today, at 11:30 am, he inaugurated the program on the premises of the AIIMS.YCP Ministers and public representatives from all the districts have made arrangements to launch the Jagananna Pachathoranam program.

The Forest Department has been planting trees in public and private nurseries, timber mills and community gardens since the onset of the monsoon season every year.

This year, the AP state government has decided to plant 17,000 plants in YSR Jagananna colonies.

Also, plants will be planted in schools and hospitals as part of the ‘Nadu-Nedu’ scheme.Forest department officials said that 33.23 crore saplings have been planted in the state in the last two years.

The government has launched an extensive plantation program in the state aiming for climatic balance and environmental protection.The forest department conducts the planting program during the monsoon season annually.

However, the AP government decides to plant five crore saplings in the state during the ‘Vanamahosthav’ program.
