New Delhi, November 20 : .People in Delhi-NCR woke to cloudy skies on Saturday.
They are most likely to see drizzle late in the day.India Meteorological Data, (IMD), said. Expect the minimum and maximum temperature for the day to be around 15 and 26 degrees Celsius.
Friday’s maximum temperature was 25.9° Celsius, while the minimum temperature was 14.5° Celsius.
At 9:15 a.m., the relative humidity was at 85%
The System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research, (SAFAR) reported that the total Air Quality Index (AQI), of the capital was 350 at 9:00 a.m.on Friday.It had been 348 by Friday.
A AQI of between 50 and 50 is considered a good score, 51 to 100 a satisfactory score, 101 and 200 a moderate score, 101 and 200 satisfactory, 201 and 300 if you are poor, 301 or 400 if you’re very poor, and then 401, and 500 are considered severe.
At 9:15 a.m., the levels of PM2.5 and PM10 pollutants were respectively at 36 and 65.Both are within the acceptable limit.
The Air Quality Early Warning System states that “the air quality over Delhi/NCT will likely remain in the ‘Very poor’ category right now, but it is expected to rise and fall to the lower end of the ‘Very Poor’ category by November 20.”
The relatively strong winds, which are in the ‘Poor” category, will likely cause an improvement in air quality.It stated that PM2.5 was the most prevalent pollutant.
