A special women’s court on Tuesday convicted hairstylist Lisbon Miranda for killing his wife in their Andheri apartment in 2012.The court awarded life imprisonment to Miranda, who was once the stylist of Tollywood stars Akkineni Nagarjuna,Megastar Chiranjeevi and several Bollywood actors.
Lisbon Miranda was accused of stabbing his wife Bindiya, a former ground staff at Jet Airways and Go Air, to death in May 2012.Miranda stabbed his wife Bindiya Chawla continuously with a dagger after they allegedly involved in an argument.
As per police he killed her brutally with a 14-inch dagger, and her heart and lungs were ruptured.
On the day of the incident, Miranda and Bindiya attended a party given by a friend.
On the way, Bindiya told Miranda’s friends that he often beat her up and her daughter, and she did not want to stay with him that night as he was heavily drunk.
After dropping the couple in their apartment Miranda’s friends heard her screams.
When one of them went upstairs, he saw Bindiya lying in a pool of blood and Miranda sitting next to her.Bindiya daughter is currently staying with her uncle and treating them as her parents.
