Santiago, Nov 26th : Chile has reported more that 2,000 Covid-19 cases after registering 2,641 infections within the last 24 hours.This brings the total to 1,751,769, according to the Ministry of Health. The Ministry also reported 43 Covid-19 deaths on Thursday, bringing the total number to 38,218,
The Ministry reported that the national positivity rate rose to 2.99 percent on Wednesday in its daily report.
The positivity rate in the Santiago Metropolitan Region was 2 percent, while it was equal or lower than 2 percent in seven of the country’s 16 regions, Xinhua news agency reported.
The weekly moving average shows that Chile has exceeded the 2,000 daily case average in the last few days.
This is a trend that has not been seen since mid-July.
After registering 500 cases per day on average, the country in South America began reporting an increase in cases at the beginning September.
