Acclaimed Malayalam romantic thriller Kappela is going to be remade in the Telugu film industry.The movie Kappela marked the debut of Muhammad Musthafa as the director.
Now according to the latest update, the makers of Sithara Entertainments have roped in a 16 years old young actress for the Kappela Telugu remake. And she is none other than Anikha Surendran, who was popular by the name Baby Anikha in Mollywood.
Now Anikha Surendran is all set to make her debut in Tollywood with the Kappela remake.
Anikha Surendran is also a well-known face in the Tamil film industry as she has acted in the role of Ajith’s daughter in Gautham Menon’s Entha Vaadu Gaani She was also the part of Ajith’s starrer Viswasam.
Anikha Surendran will reprise Anna Ben’s role in the Telugu adaptation produced by S Naga Vamsi under the Sithara Entertainments banner.Currently, the Kappela remake is in the pre-production stage and the movie is expected to go on the floor in 2021.
According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Vishwak Sen is considered to play the male lead in the Kappela remake. If everything goes accordingly, he will step into the shoes of Sreenath Bhasi.
The makers are also on the hunt for another lead actor for the role essayed by Roshan Mathew in the original.
