Census: AP lags behind Telangana in gender ratio, ranks 16

The Central Government has released the census of births and deaths in the country in 2019.According to recent reports, India has a population of 133.89 crores.In 2019, there were 2.67 crore births and 83 lakh deaths in the country.It implies that an average of 51 babies are born per minute, while 16 died.

According to the latest report of the Central Government, the total population of AP by mid-2019 will be 5,23,15,000.As per the reports, Andhra Pradesh has a population of 5.23 crore and Telangana has a population of 3.72 crores.In AP, Kurnool district reported the highest number of birth and the East Godavari district reported the highest number of deaths.A total of 7,54,939 people were born and 4,01,472 died in AP in 2019.

As far as Gender ratio is considered, AP ranks 16th in gender ratio while Telangana ranks seventh.The sex ratio in AP is 935 girls per 1000 boys while the sex ratio in Telangana is 953 girls per 1000 boys and ranked seventh.

However, Arunachal Pradesh has the highest sex ratio.It has 1024 girls for every thousand boys.Nagaland ranks second with 1001 girls and Mizoram stands third with 975 girls.
