A Karimnagar court has directed the police to register a case against former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar.Recently, RS Praveen Kumar announced his resignation, and the state government officially approved it today.
Lawyer Beti Mahender Reddy has complained to the police that previously, Praveen Kumar had vowed to insult the Hindu deities and Hindu rituals.
In March 2021, in Vadukapur village of Julapelli Mandal, Peddapalli district, R.S Praveen Kumar was invited as the chief guest.On this occasion, along with the members of Swero, he vowed not to believe in Rama and Krishna and not to worship them.
However, Mahender Reddy approached the court as the police did not take any action on the complaint.Principal Judicial First Class Magistrate Saisudha, who conducted the inquiry, directed the Karimnagar Three Town Police to register a case against the former IPS officer.
Also, Mahender Reddy said that RS Praveen Kumar was seen saying he would neither believe in Hindu deities nor he would perform Hindu rituals.The video of the pledge of Praveen Kumar went viral on social media and became controversial.
Mahendra Reddy initially demanded the police and the state government to immediately register a case against RS Praveen Kumar and take an action.As they did not take any action, he approached the court.
