Phnom Penh, Aug 10 : Cambodia registered 908,059 air travelers in the first seven months of 2022, an increase of nearly 500 percent compared to the same time frame in 2021, a spokesperson said in an announcement. The rise in the amount of travellers and flights is that the industry of tourism has returned to the pattern of the pre-pandemic boom, Chansereyvutha added.
“We anticipate that the volume of air travelers will surpass the pre-pandemic levels in the late 2023 or early 2024.”
According to the spokesperson for air cargo the kingdom experienced an 4.4 percent drop in the volume of air cargo, which was 34,547 tons in the first seven months of this year.
