New Delhi, Nov 20, : , The BJP Election In-Charges for Uttarakhand will visit the hill state next Wednesday to assess the party’s readiness for the polls.
Along with Uttar Pradesh and Manipur, the polls for Uttarakhand Assembly will take place in February/March 2013.

IANS was informed by a senior Uttarakhand BJP leader that Pralhad Joshi, the election in-charge and his two co-incharges (Lok Sabha member Locket Chaterjee as well as national spokesperson Sardar R P Singh) will be visiting the state’s hilly states next week.

According to Praralhad Joshi, others will likely visit Uttarakhand to meet with the leadership.

He said that they might visit other parts of the state in order to get first-hand information about the situation on the ground.

According to reports, the leaders of the three parties will interact with the state leaders in order to learn about the ongoing activities and party work.

He said that central leaders would review the progress made since September’s last visit and will discuss current preparedness.

According to party sources, central leaders of the government will attend several meetings in order to get direct feedback from the workers regarding the operation and functioning of the government and state units.

Recent visit by Prime Minister Narendra to Kedarnath, where he laid foundation stones for several key infrastructure projects.The state’s infrastructure projects were also reviewed by him.

Amit Shah, the union’s Home Minister, visited Uttarakhand last month and officially launched the party’s campaign for election in Dehradun.Shah reviewed preparations at the meeting held at Dehradun’s party state unit headquarters.

Shah inaugurated Mukhyamantri Kalyan Yojana of the Uttarakhand government during his visit.J.P.Nadda, chief of BJP was in Uttarakhand earlier this week to assess party’s readiness for the forthcoming elections.To assess the situation on ground, he attended several organizational meetings.

Nadda visited Nadda in August to assess BJP’s poll readiness.He attended about a dozen meetings.The BJP state unit launched several campaigns in the lead up to next year’s Assembly polls.

These included the formation of a 21-member Committee at every polling station and verification.

The BJP set a goal to win more than 60 state Assembly seats during the upcoming elections.
