New Delhi : , Nov 20, 2018 – The Bharatiya Janata Party announced Friday candidates for the biennial elections to the Maharashtra and Karnataka legislative councils. The BJP Central Election Committee has approved 25 names, 5 for Maharashtra, and 20 for Karnataka Biennial Election to the Legislative Council.
Arun Singh, BJP’s national general secretary, stated that the BJP CEC had approved the names of potential candidates for biennial elections to the Maharashtra-Karnataka legislative council.
Five BJP candidates of Maharashtra legislative council are Amal Mahadeorao Mahadik (Kolhapur), Amrish Rasiklal Patel (Dhule-cum-Nandurbar), Chandrashekhar Krishnarao Bawankule (Nagpur), Vasant Madanlal Khandelwal (Akola-cum-Buldhana-cum-Washim) and Rajhans Dhananjay Singh (Mumbai).
The BJP in Karnataka has Suja Kushalappa, Kota Srinivas Poojary, M.K., and Suja Kushalappa, Kodagu.Pranesh, D.S.Arun Shimoga, Pradeep Shettar of Dharwad
Mahantesh Kavatgimath, a fielded officer from Belgaum (B.G.Patil is from Gulbarga (K.S.Naveen, Raghu Koutilya of Mysore, and Vishwanath (Hassan) are from Chitradurga.
Ganapathi Uttara Kannada, Prakash Khandre and H.S.are other saffron party candidate candidates.Gopinath Reddy (Bangalore), Manju K.R.Pete (Mandya), K.N.Venugopal (Kolar), Vishwanath A.Banahatti (Raichur), B.M.Narayanaswamy (Bangalore Rural), Y.M.Satish (Bellary), N.Lokesh Tumkur and P.H.Pujar (Bijapur).
Election Commission announced that elections are being held for the seats on legislative councils for Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.The voting will take place December 10.
Last date for nominations to be filled is November 23, and the Scrutiny will take place on November 24, The deadline for withdrawing candidatures is November 26, and the polling date will be December 10.
The December 14th will see the counting of votes.
