Their wedding photos went viral via social media. Mary Lori Heral is a Parisian businesswoman who had traveled to India six years prior and was in love with Rakesh (a Katharia Village resident in Begusarai).
Rakesh was originally settled in Delhi when they met and kept in touch even after Rakesh returned to Paris.They also shared their feelings for one another over the telephone.
Mary approached Rakesh three years later to help her move to Paris to start a business in textiles.They became closer after they began working together and they decided to marry.
Rakesh’s father Ramchandra Sha stated that Mary was so taken by Indian culture, she wanted to marry him.Mary and Rakesh were married on Sunday, according to Hindu customs.Mary’s relatives, who traveled from France to witness the wedding ceremony, were pleased for the couple.
Rakesh said that both families merged before Jayamala, an Hindu ritual.
They also danced to Hindi songs and Bhojpuri songs following the ceremony.
Foreign guests also enjoyed the ceremony and participated in all Hindu rituals.The couple plans to spend a week here.
Rakesh’s family says Mary would prefer to be married in Begusarai, as she loves the Bihari traditions.Both families made all arrangements for the ceremony and took the final decisions.
After a week in India, the newlywed couple will return to Paris.
