Andhra Pradesh high court has expressed outrage over Andhra Pradesh SEC Neelam Sawhney.On Friday, the High Court expressed displeasure over the AP Election Commissioner’s decision regarding the conduct of MPTC and ZPTC elections, held in April 2021.
The AP High court incensed that the Election Commission had molded the Supreme Court’s verdict as they wished.
The High Court recalled that the Supreme Court statement directed the AP SEC to give four weeks.
The High court said that even a common man can understand the judgment of the Supreme Court.But the High Court said that it felt surprised that an Election Commissioner, who had previously served as the Chief Secretary to the Government, did not understand the Supreme Court judgment.
The High Court opined that she must think about her eligibility as currently, she has become a state election commissioner.As soon as she took office, she issued an election notification.
The High Court opined that Neelam Sawhney acted contrary to the Supreme Court judgment.The AP High Court ruled that this was completely contrary to the principles of democracy.
