Daily, at a temple, at a traffic signal, near a walker’s park or a jogging place, we see a lot of people pleading for money, in different getups, off different age groups, ranging from 3 years old kids to 85 year old men and women.We tend to see their situation and then donate a rupee or two, sometimes 5 rs or 10 rs, just to feel good.
Well we might be feeling good about being able to help some unfortunate, but really? Are we helping? or we being cheated?
Actually there are genuine people who are being thrown out of their houses due to old-age and unfortunate kids who were thrown into a waste bin after being born for days.There people do need our help to survive, but the percentage of these people is like 2% out of all those who keep nagging us to donate something for food.

The reality of this business has been brought out into open by many survey organisations and according to them 14 thousand people are in this business as beggars and they earn 2 crores per day.
