B’desh-based company targeting Twitter accounts for BTS fans

New Delhi/Dhaka : , A copyright group, based in Dhaka Bangladesh, has been attacking Twitter accounts belonging to South Korean K-pop star BTS using copyright trolls.Takedown notices are also being issued.It claims it will “destroy toxic fans”.
On its Facebook page, Team Copyright claims that members of the group are responsible for copyright violations against BTS supporters.

The Facebook page is full of discriminatory and threatening posts.The group says it will eliminate the toxic fanbase, and also criticises BTS’s promotion of homosexuality and atheism,” The Verge reports.

Several prominent BTS Twitter fan accounts were attacked and vandalized over the last few days.The victims were allegedly sent fake Digital Millennium Copyright Act notices (DMCA).

The report stated that the fan account owner with more than 233,000 followers posts photos and videos about South Korean bands.He claims their profile photo and header, along with multiple tweets including screenshots and memes, were taken down over the last few weeks.

Twitter and Facebook have yet to comment.

Copyright notices were issued by the Dhaka-based group to the profile photos and headers for @bts_worldwide and @charts_k as well as @btsvotingorg and @bts_trans.

After breaking 23 records, South Korean pop group BTS is now an official member of Guinness World Records’ Hall of Fame.

Guinness published a September article stating that Jin, Suga and J-Hope (RM, Jimin and V), despite their youth, have made a significant contribution to today’s cultural landscape.

They broke free of the constraints of the Korean market as well as a language — Korean — which is still widely known by the international public.

BTS, also called the Bangtan Boys in South Korea, was founded in 2010, and launched in 2013, under Big Hit Entertainment.
