Telangana BJP state president Bandi Sanjay wrote an open letter to CM KCR.In the background of the letter written by the CM KCR to the Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday that the farmers are being harmed by the BJP government policies in the country.
In response, BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay wrote an open letter to KCR on Thursday.Sanjay wrote the letter citing 11 of the assurances given by CM KCR to state farmers in the past.
Before questioning the Center, Bandi Sanjay questioned what happened to the assurances given earlier by the TRS government to tell the farmers in the state what it was doing.Bandi Sanjay criticized KCR for mentioning the issue of fertilizers to side line the issue of G.O.317.
According to Bandi Sanjay’s open letter:
1.Fertilizer should be supplied free of cost to the state farmer as per the guarantee given by you on 13th April 2017.
2.Debt waiver of lakhs of rupees should be fully implemented as per the promise given in the election manifesto.
3.A ‘bonus’ of Rs.500 per quintal should be declared for crop products grown by farmers in the state including paddy, cotton and maize.
4.The funds allotted by the Center should be spent immediately for conducting soil tests in the fields of the farmers and announcing the crop plan.
5.Agricultural mechanization subsidies should be implemented immediately.They should be provided only to eligible farmers and not to party workers.
6.The polyhouse subsidy should be restored as per the guarantee given earlier.Incentives should be provided to SC and ST farmers for construction of additional polyhouses.
7.Prime Minister Kisan Samman fund scheme should be implemented in the state.
8.Seed subsidy should be fully implemented.Counterfeit seeds should be completely prevented.
9.A ‘crop insurance’ scheme should be implemented to help farmers affected by untimely rains.
10.Introduce ‘e-nam’ method in the market and benefit the farmers.
11.90 per cent subsidy should be given to SCs and 50 per cent to BCs as part of drip irrigation.
In a 6-page open letter, Bandi Sanjay explained that CM KCR should fulfill these promises given earlier.
