Baloch fishermen from Ormara were addressed by him.He said nobody should be permitted to steal resources from Balochistan’s sea, as they belong to local fishermen.Maulana Baloch was speaking about the Chinese commercial fishing boats that are removing fisheries from Arabian Sea.

The Pakistan Navy’s fencing was also mentioned by him, saying that “If the Pakistan Navy constructs a fence it will need to consult the Ormara people or we will destroy the fence.” Dawn reported.

China has been building naval and CPEC projects in Pakistan, so the Pakistani government has fenced them off.Local protestors have been protesting Chinese projects that have blocked their sea access and restricted their movements within Balochistan.Balochs are also upset that jobs in CPEC aren’t coming their way, and instead are offered to Chinese citizens.

India Narrative spoke with Mark Kinra, geopolitical analyst and Geopolitical Analyst.

He said that Maulana Hidayatur is back after the partial success of his Gwadar Do Tehreek movement. As his agreements with Balochistan for Baloch rights have failed, trawlers can still be seen in Balochistan’s waters while businessmen protest illegal checkpoints and bribes.

Maulana Baloch capitalized on the regional unsatisfaction of Balochistan’s people and said that: “Resources in the province are ours; Balochistan IS ours.CPEC IS ours. The beach is ours.Gwadar Port also is ours.”

Kinra also said that Maulana (a Jamaat-e-Islami leader in his local Jamaat-e-Islami) group, has plans to organize another protest against the drug menace in Makran. He spoke at the Ormara rally about ownership of CPEC, but that wasn’t part of the agreement with government.

Kinra states that he even challenged Pakistan’s Navy to not fence any area without permission from the people. However, this is an empty threat like the one of forced disappearances.

If the demands of Balochistan’s chief minister are not met, then Maulana Baloch from ‘Give Rights To Gwadar” threatened to organize a mass sit-in in Quetta with one million people.Maulana Baloch stated that “our struggle will continue until all check-posts are removed from security forces and illegal fishing in Balochistan’s seawaters by trawlers is stopped.”
