New Delhi, Aug 15 : In the latest attempt to reach many more children in the age 0-5 range as part of the Bal Aadhaar initiative, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has registered over 79 lakh children in the first 4 months (April-July) of the current financial year. According to government officials they say that according to government officials, the Bal Aadhaar initiative is set to let parents and children get numerous benefits.While 2.64 million children in the 0-5 age bracket were registered with Bal Aadhaar as of March 31st, 2022, this number has risen to 3.43 crore at the close of the month of July in 2022.
Bal Aadhaar registration is progressing extremely efficiently, with increased speed across the nation.
Enrollments of youngsters in the age group 0-5 in states such as Himachal Pradesh and Haryana have already been able to cover more than 70% of the age group targeted.
The registration of children (0-5 age group) is also doing extremely well in various other states and UTs like Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

Aadhaar enrollment of youngsters in the age range of 5 to 0 years are performed based on the facial images of the child as well as biometric verification of the parent or guardian (having an active Aadhaar).
