In Gorakhpur the court of the chief magistrate (CJM) has issued a warrant that is not bailable against Minister Sanjay Nishad and has directed the police to take him into custody and present the accused in court by the 10th of August.

The case was related to an anti-reserves movement, that was led by Sanjay Nishad in 2015, that turned violent and caused significant destruction to police vehicles.

Nishad said he was unaware of the court’s order and would seek out information from his lawyer and follow the instructions in accordance with the court order.

A different Minister, Rakesh Sachan, was declared guilty by a judge in Kanpur this past Saturday.

Sachan was found guilty in an old three-decade Arms Acts case, after which the leader “disappeared” from the courtroom “without providing bail bonds”.

Prosecution officer (PO) Richa Gupta said Sachan left the courtroom shortly after his conviction, when the court asked the defence lawyer to argue over the amount of punishment.

Sachan left “without the provision of bail bonds” and an FIR will be filed against Sachan in this in this regard, Gupta said.

Kanpur The Commissioner of Police B.P.Jogdand confirmed that he had received a letter of complaint about Sachan.He however did not go into the nature of the letter, and said he did not personally see the complaint.

The decision to file an FIR against the minister came after an intensive meeting with senior officials from the judiciary who believed that letting him go with no any action could land the chief officer in trouble the official added.

Sachan was later able to deny the accusation of departing from the courtroom in an unintentional manner.In admitting that he was in the court for work but the minister claimed that the case “wasn’t considered for the verdict”.

He said that his lawyer filed an application to grant the exemption of personal appearance.The minister stated that he will respect the ruling of the court, no matter what it is.

The case was described in detail, Gupta said in 1991 police had seized the illegal gun from Rakesh Sachan.

Sachan was a member of the BJP after he left the Congress just prior to the Assembly elections earlier in the year.

In the meantime, in Varanasi, the MP-MLA court has cleared BSP MP from Ghosi, Atul Rai, in the case of the alleged sexual assault of an unidentified woman who together with her friend , who was also the the main witness in the case, self-immolated in the presence of the Supreme Court on August 17 2021, alleging delays in justice.

Both died later.

Rai’s lawyer Anuj Yodav stated that because Rai was not granted bail in the cases which include the one filed in Lucknow, he will remain in jail despite his acquittal in this particular case.

“Evidence provided by the defence side was accepted and Rai was cleared.The prosecution brought in nine witnesses, while 13 were gathered by the defense side.” he added.

Sources told us that he was likely to be charged with abetment to the suicide of the victim as well as the complainant.

In the fourth incident the court in Jaunpur was able to convict seven individuals including former Machlishahr MP Umakant Yadav, in the triple murder case that was pending for 27 years.

The court will announce the severity of sentence in the case on August 8.

District government lawyer Lal Bahadur Pal said that Jaunpur Additional District Sessions Judge Sharad Chandra Tripathi after hearing both sides, ruled that the accused was guilty.

The incident occurred in February 1995 in which constable Ajay Singh, Lallan Singh and another person were killed in firing while trying to rescue Raj Kumar Yadav, who was imprisoned in the prison of the Shahganj Government Railway Police in Jaunpur.

In describing the specifics of the incident, the lawyer explained the constable Raghunath Singh, who was posted in Shahganj GRP was the one who filed an FIR in February 1995 Armed with firearm, rifle and a knife, suspect Umakant Yadav came to the GRP post with his accomplices.

Umakant was compelled to try to release Raj Kumar Yadav, who was in the lockup.He opened fire , and in addition to Ajay Singh and Lallan Singh constable, another was killed in the shooting.
