News rife in the industry that the Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to request the Central Government to confer Padma Puraskar for Balakrishna .
There are reports that the two Telugu states have already sent their nominations list and are lobbying hard to get their candidates awarded!Late former PM Sri PVN’s name is in strong recommendation by TRS for Bharat Ratna and NTR’s name was recommended from Andhra for the highest civilian honor!
According to sources The Andhra Pradesh government is also recommending the name of well-known actor and Hindupur MLA Balakrishna for the title of Padma Bhushan or Padma Shri.It is being said that they would recommend his name based on Balayya services to the film industry and society.
The Padma Awards are considered one of the most prestigious in the country and all those who are recipients of that are held in high honor.
However, the state government’s recommendations are not mandatory and the centre will make the final decision.Balayya have good chances to win Padma award in any one category.
