Azad says he’s been forced to leave Cong and he lauds Modi for showing compassion

New Delhi, Aug 29 : Just days after resigning from Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad has claimed he was “forced” quit the party. He also has praised prime minister Narendra Modi for ‘showing humanity’.
In an interview with the media this morning, he declared that the Congress is not a respectable party for its leaders and that “people aren’t aware of our contributions to the party”.While applauding the Prime Minister, he declared, “I had understood Modi was a snob as he does not have a wife and does not have children , but he has demonstrated his humanity by speaking about his humane side when he was speaking in Parliament on the incident with the Gujarati tourists during my time as the Chief Minister.”

Azad is responding to an accusation made against him by Congress leaders who claimed they believed that “Azad was Modi-fied’ and is likely to be joining the BJP”.He stated, “The party is full of indigents, particularly those working in clerical positions. If you know J&K I am unable to boost just one vote of BJP.”

He also stated that Rahul Gandhi was not interested in politics despite efforts by the party.”It was Rahul who embraced the Prime Minister in Parliament, not me,” Azad said, and added that as the letter asking for change in the Congress was written in 2020, the Congress is in trouble since nobody would like to be scrutinized.

In the resignation letter, Azad had said, “Unfortunately the current situation in the Congress party has reached an impasse of inertia that “proxies” are being propped up to assume the leadership of the party.

This scheme is bound to fail as the party is completely damaged that it is impossible to resolve. The “chosen one” would be simply a puppet hanging on string.”

He said that at the national level, the Congress has given up the political space to the BJP and state-level spaces for regional parties.

“This was all because the party’s leadership in the last eight years has attempted to put a non-serious candidate in the top of the party.” he alleged without claiming his name of Rahul Gandhi.
