Canberra, Nov 30, : , Scott Morrison, the Australian Prime Minister, has stated that he will not allow Australia to be put back in lockdown as a result of the Omicron variant Covid-19.
Morrison met Tuesday afternoon with leaders of state and territory to discuss the national response.

Morrison stated that Omicron would be a concern for federal, state, and territory governments, but that they would not allow a return of strict stay-at home restrictions.

He stated that he would use the meeting of the national cabinet to ask the leaders of state and territory to keep their cool and keep the domestic borders open during the Christmas season.

“We are not returning to lockdowns.He said that none of us wants that on Tuesday in Canberra.

The majority of new cases were found in Victoria, the country’s second-most populous state, with Melbourne as its capital.There were 918 cases and six deaths.

According to the Health Department, Monday’s figures show that 92.4 percent of Australians 16 years and older had received their first vaccine dose and that 87 percent had their second.
