New Delhi, Aug 12 : India on Friday saw a slight increase in Covid instances with 16561 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, compared to 16,299 cases, according to Union Health Ministry data. In the same time there were 49 more Covid deaths brought the national death toll to 5,26,928.
In the meantime, the active caseload has slowed to 1,23,535 cases, which accounts for 0.28 percent of the total cases that are positive.
The recuperation of 18,053 patients in the last 24 hours brought the total to 4,35,73,094.In the end, India’s recovery rate is 98.53 percent.
The daily Positivity rate has increased to 5.44 per cent, whereas the weekly Positivity Rate is currently 4.88 percent.
Additionally, in the same time period there were an overall of 3,04,189 test were conducted across the country, bringing the total number to more than 87.95 crore.
As of this morning, Covid-19 vaccination coverage was more than 207.47 million, which was achieved through 2,75,591,030 sessions.
More than 3.96 million adolescents have been given with the initial dose of Covid-19 jab since beginning of the vaccination campaign for this age group.
