Karachi 15 Aug, Karachi : Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt believes that Rohit Sharma’s India will be one of the most favored teams to take home the Asia Cup cricket tournament, which will begin in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) later in the month.
“Yes they are able to take home the Asia Cup.Do they have Vitamin C (laughs)? The kind of cricket they play as well as the number of players and the fact that they are exposing the game of international cricket to lots of players, and people will view them as their favourites.” Butt was quoted as saying on his YouTube channel.

India has won seven times in the event and will go for the title of the eighth time when they begin their battle against Babar Azam’s Pakistan on the 28th of August.India has took the crown in 2018 when they beat Bangladesh in an exciting final.

He stated that the other teams, specifically Pakistan which has twice won the title, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh also have a chance.

Butt the player who was with Pakistan in the past decade and was a Pakistani player for a decade, told me that Pakistan is also a fan favorite as they can defeat any team they choose to on their day.

“But then , there’s Pakistan who is able to beat every team they play on any day.In T20 cricket there is no limit to what is possible and one great partnership could alter the course of the entire game” he said in the show on his Youtube channel.

“Afghanistan are considered to be the dark horse because they can be easily bowled out, but they could also perform the same thing with other teams,” he added.

The Asia Cup is scheduled to begin on Saturday, August 27, with the opening match scheduled to be played between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
