Arjun Kapoor’s comment on his boycott of the market angers the Home Minister

Mumbai 18 Aug : Arjun Kapoor recently declared his opinion on the Trend of boycotts that appears to have afflicted the majority of Bollywood film of recent.His remarks have angered the Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh Narottam Mishra who has called the Bollywood actor an “flop actor”.
In a press conference that he was a part of that he also posted on his Twitter, Mishra said: “Instead of threatening people, Arjun Kapoor should instead focus on his performance.”

“Actors that are targeting Hinduism in their movies as well as those who are supporters of the Tukde-Tukde Gang should not attempt to intimidate people,” he added.

In the past, in an interview with the ‘Bollywood Hungama’ show, Arjun Kapoor had stated “I think we committed an error by not speaking for too long.Our decency was seen as a weakness.We believe in let the work speak for itself, everything else is irrelevant.”

He also said that the movie industry must unite and find the root of the problem.

Speaking about the cancellation culture of social media that is affecting Bollywood, Arjun Kapoor added: “We tolerated a little too much.Now , people are comfortable with it.”

Post his comments on the Boycott movement.Arjun who was seen in “Ek Villain: Returns” was slammed mercilessly on the internet.

The Trend of boycotts, of late, seems to have had an impact on Bollywood.While a massive negative campaign was launched against Aamir Khan’s “Laal Singh Chaddha in response to the lead actor’s controversial 2015 comment about the growing intolerance Akshay Kumar’s “Raksha Bhanhan was also hit with Boycott snare as trolls dug into the script’s writer Kanika Dhillon’s tweets.

Additionally, the Boycott of the film ‘Vikram Vedha was also trending on social media due to the fact that the lead actor of the film Hrithik Roshan was a ‘Laal’s Chaddha’.
