San Francisco, November 23, : , Apple announced it would repair iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro models that have a problem with their speakers free of charge. The Cupertino-based tech company said in a bulletin that an “insignificant percentage” of iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro users are having issues with their receivers due to a failure of the receiver module.
This issue affects only the iPhone 12 Pro and base iPhone 12 Pro models, as of now.It does not impact the iPhone 12 mini or the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Apple will give the right device owners three choices.It also notes that any damaged devices will be examined prior to actual repair work being started.
This is to ensure that every phone is eligible for the program.
There are many options, including finding an Apple Service Provider Authorized.
You can also make an appointment to have your device serviced at the nearest Apple Store.Users can contact Apple support to request that the iPhone be sent to them.
Each of these options will ask for you to enter your Apple ID.The company even requests that users “get your iPhone or iPad ready to service”.
Apple noted also that any iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro that has sustained damage “impairs our ability to repair the device” will be repaired first.
