APIIC to set up 3 MSME parks in Anantapur

To promote small and micro-scale industries, the APIIC plans to set up three MSME parks in the state.APIIC is planning to develop these parks in Kotipi, Raptadu and Kappalabanda areas in the Anantapur district.

The concerned officials said that the state govt decided to spend Rs 18.11 crore on this.Kotipi MSME Park will be developed at Rs 7.46 crore, Raptadu Park at Rs 4.83 crore and Kappalabanda Park at Rs 5.82 crore.Each of these parks would be set up in about 50 acres and provides all kinds of infrastructure.

Also, APIIC has already invited tenders worth Rs 7.46 crore to provide vital infrastructures such as internal and external roads, flood, sewerage, street lighting and water supply in Kotipi Park.Tenders will be called soon for the construction of MSME parks at Kappalabandala.

The Andhra Pradesh state government has undertaken the development of MSME parks in various districts.It has undertaken a plastic and furniture park in 173.67 acres in Nellore district at Rs.30 crores and an MSME cluster in Gandharajupally, Chittoor district.Five MSME clusters are being developed under the Central Government’s MSE-CDP at Rs 61 crore.
