Andhra Pradesh is still witnessing the severity of the second wave of coronavirus in the state.The state government has extended the night curfew in AP to August 14 in the wake of the steady increase in corona cases.
According to the state medical health department, in the last 24 hours, AP reported 2,209 new covid cases.With this, the number of people infected with the virus in Andhra Pradesh has reached 19,75,455.
On August 5, 22 corona victims died in AP.With this, the number of deaths due to the coronavirus in AP increased to 13,490.
In the last 24 hours, two corona victims died each in the Prakasam and Anantapur districts.One victim died each in East Godavari, Kadapa and Srikakulam districts.
In the last 24 hours, three corona victims died in Chittoor, six victims in Krishna, four victims died in Guntur, and one each in Visakhapatnam and West Godavari districts.
In the last 24 hours, 1896 people recovered from the corona.
With this, the total number of discharges in AP reached 19,41,372.In AP, so far, 2,50,27,770 tests were conducted.In the last 24 hours, 81,505 samples have been tested in AP.Currently, 20,593 people are being treated at various hospitals in AP.
