Krishna district police arrested the former minister and Telugu Desam Party senior leader Devineni Uma Maheshwararao.According to the police reports, TDP leader Uma Maheshwararao went to the mining site in the Kondapalli forest area on Tuesday with a pre-meditated plan.
Krishna district police said that Devineni Uma was the cause of the altercation in G.Kondur, and they said that against this backdrop, they arrested TDP leader Uma Maheshwararao.
Responding to the incident, district SP Siddhartha Kaushal said they arrested Devineni Uma.Currently, he is in Nandiwada police custody.Speaking on this occasion, he said that they would carry out a detailed investigation on this issue.
The SP revealed that they filed an FIR against Uma Maheshwarao.
He said that a case under Section 307 of the SC, ST Atrocities Act, has been registered against him.Also, Devineni Uma has been booked under Section 307 for attempted murder.
DIG Mohanrao said that Devineni Uma deliberately created a stir in the G.Kondur constituency with pre-planning.The DIG said that Uma had acted in a way that provoked YCP activists.However, the TDP leaders are alleging that the police intendedly arrested Devineni Uma.
