However, the AP High Court has recently dismissed the GO issued by the state government. The court ordered the re-appointment of Ashok Gajapathiraju as the chairman of the two trusts and cancelled the appointment of Sanchaita Gajapathiraju.

The AP High court gave this sensational verdict after Ashok Gajapatiraju filed a petition challenging his removal as chairman by the AP state government.Ashok Gajapathiraju brought to the notice of the court that the elders should be the trustees.

Ashok Gajapathiraju alleged that the government has appointed the chairman of these trusts against the rules.

In March last year, the government appointed Sanchaita Gajapathiraju, the second daughter of Ananda Gajapathiraju, as the chairman of the governing body of the Simhachalam Temple.

The controversy began when she was also appointed chairman of the MANSAS Trust Board. In the court, the government has argued that the appointment was made following the rules.

The bench, which reserved judgment after hearing the arguments of both the parties, recently ordered the reappointment of Ashok Gajapathiraju as chairman of the MANSAS Trust.
