The Andhra Pradesh state govt has undertaken another crucial decision in the case of Village secretariats, which have already played a key role in corona vaccination.As part of the decentralization, the medical health department plans to set up Covid care centres within the village secretariats.
The government has planned to provide treatment to Covid victims at the Covid Care Center of the village secretariats when the Covid is less severe and can be cured with common medicines.People in small families and homes can’t be isolated if they get infected with Covid.
In this context, Covid Care Centers will be set up with five beds in the village secretariats.Authorities said the arrangements were being made as the health experts warn of the forthcoming Covid third Wave.
However, the AP state govt vested the health monitoring responsibility of Covid victims in village secretariats to ANMs.The management responsibilities are taken care of by the ward secretary.
Meals and medicines are provided by the staff of the Secretariat.If the severity of the Covid is high, the staff would inform the Panchayat Secretary or the Tehsildar.
The officers will take the covid victims to the nearest hospital.
