Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy announced a piece of good news to the unemployed on the occasion of Police Martyrs Day.He said the vacancies in the police department would be filled soon, and notification would be given soon.“We are implementing weekly offs for police for the first time in the country.It has been postponed for some time due to Corona.” Today, CM Jagan paid tribute to the martyred police.
Speaking on this occasion, Chief Minister YS Jagan said the government recognizes the services of the police, and hence the YCP govt released Rs 1,500 crore pending funds since the previous govt.Home guards’ payroll has also been increased.He said that 16,000 Personnel have been recruited in the police department in the village and ward secretariats.
Also, CM Jagan said Rs 5 lakh has been sanctioned to the families of the policemen who died with Corona, and another Rs 5 lakh is being given under the matching grant.
CM Jagan added that police responsibilities need to be further expanded, and they should adapt to the newly emerging technology.
He said there was a need to use technology to control white-collar crime.
