Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has taken another crucial step aiming to provide quality medical services in YSR Health Clinics at the village level, primary health centres at the zonal level, and teaching hospitals at the district level.
AP CM YS Jagan announced this to give utmost priority to public healthcare.
Recently, CM Jagan has approved mass recruitment in government hospitals.The CM approved replacing 11,775 vacant medical posts in the state.
Department of Medical Health and Family welfare commissioner Katamaneni Bhaskar said the state finance ministry, which had already approved the replacement of the posts, would issue a notification in a day or two.
In addition to these, another 3,176 posts will be recruited later as the construction of new PHCs continues in AP.Chief Minister YS Jagan has decided to fill other vacancies in government hospitals, including doctors, nurses and paramedics, to provide quality medical care.
Doctors and other medical personnel in government hospitals are currently being paid Rs 2,753.79 crore annually in the form of salaries.Now the officials estimate that the newly filled posts will cost an additional Rs 726.34 crore a year.
