AP govt to credit Rs 192 crore to handloom weavers

The Andhra Pradesh state government is all set to deposit the third phase of the ‘YSR Nethanna Nestham’ scheme to support handloom workers despite the financial crisis in government revenue due to corona.Since YS Jagan came into power, this is the third time the state government is depositing under the Nethanna Nestham scheme to extend a helping hand to handloom weavers in the state.

Today, CM Jagan will virtually deposit Rs 192.08 crore in the accounts of 80,032 eligible handloom workers from the CM camp office.

The state government is providing financial assistance of Rs.24,000 per annum to each eligible handloom family.Each beneficiary will receive financial assistance of Rs.1,20,000 in five years.Since coming to power, the YCP government has provided Rs 383.99 crore to the handloom families.

Today, the state government would deposit Rs 192.08 crore under the third phase of the Nethanna Nestham scheme.Including this, to date, the AP government deposited Rs 576.07 crore into the bank accounts of handloom weaver families.Even in the financial crisis due to corona, the Andhra Pradesh state government continues ‘YSR pension Kanuka’ to the elderly and physically challenged people.
