The Andhra Pradesh state government has initiated a mega vaccination drive in the state to vaccinate all the mothers who have children below 5 years of age.The mega vaccine drive received tremendous response from the people of AP.The vaccination process is continuing in Andhra Pradesh.With this mega vaccination drive, the state government is going to set a new record in Covid vaccinations in a single day.
By 6 pm, the medical health department had vaccinated over 12 lakh people in the state.The drive is running at 2,232 centres across the state.
Vaccination is being given to people over 45 years of age and mothers of children under five years of age.The highest number of 1.50 lakh people got vaccinated in East Godavari district.Meanwhile, the government, which was focused on increasing oxygen reserves and hospital beds in the wake of the corona boom, is now focusing on vaccination.
Initially, the state government has decided to vaccinate 8 lakh people on Sunday and has made arrangements accordingly.However, the record was set by 2 pm today.
