The Andhra Pradesh state government lead by Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy took a crucial decision.Dr.G.Somasekharam, former Director, State Animal Husbandry, has been appointed as the Special Officer (Officer on Special Duty-OSD) for the Amul project undertaken by the state government of Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Pradesh state government has considered the requests made by the Managing Director of the State Dairy Development Corporation (AP Dairy) and some officials to appoint Somasekharam in the Amul project.In this context, the state government has allowed Somasekhara to be appointed as OSD for the Amul project.
Dr.G.Somasekharam will continue as Officer on Special Duty-OSD for the Amul project for one year.There is a possibility that he will continue in the same position if there is a need for his services.
Somasekharam retired from the Andhra Pradesh state Animal Husbandry Department on January 31 this year.
The terms and pay scale will be applicable as per the orders issued on 23rd April 2018 on salary allowances and other facilities to be paid on re-employment of former officers who have retired from service in the Government.
