AP EAPCET committee orders JNTU officials to complete affiliation process by Sep 25

The AP EAPCET committee has directed the Kakinada and Anantapur JNTU officials to complete the affiliation (recognition) process of private engineering and pharma colleges in Andhra Pradesh by September 25.The committee recently met at the state academy to discuss the process of EAPCET admissions.

AP EAPCET Committee Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Higher Education Council Chairman Prof.K.Hemachandra Reddy, Admissions Convener, Technical Education Commissioner Pola Bhaskar, CETS Special Officer Dr M.Sudhir Reddy, varsity officials and committee members were present at the meeting.The schedule for admissions in engineering colleges is yet to be finalized.

But as per the information from credible sources, the schedule for admissions into engineering colleges could not be finalized as the universities had not yet completed the affiliation process of the private colleges.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has recently sanctioned 1,39,862 seats in 272 engineering and pharma colleges in the state.These colleges are required to be accredited by the varsities after verifying the availability of facilities and staff as per AICTE regulations.

The counselling process for admissions could not be started as JNTUs have not completed the affiliation of the colleges.Once the process ends, counselling for engineering seats starts in AP.
