The Andhra Pradesh Assembly Privilege Committee has taken a sensational decision.It has decided not to give the mic to the TDP MLAs Achennaidu and Nimmala Ramanaidu on the day of the next Assembly meeting on the ground that they have insulted AP CM YS Jagan and AP govt schemes.
The Privilege Committee will recommend to the House to take action against Atchannaidu and Nimmala Ramanaidu on the complaint of government whip Srikanth Reddy that the Legislative Assembly has been misled.A meeting chaired by Privilege Committee Chairman Kakani Govardhan Reddy on Tuesday has taken this decision.
However, the proposal was vehemently opposed by Privilege Committee member Anagani Satyaprasad.
The Privilege Committee has sent a resolution to the Speaker that Achennaidu and Ramanaidu should not be given a mic in the next assembly meeting.
The committee examined the letter of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and Kuna Ravikumar.
Privilege committee chairman Kakani Govardhan Reddy said the committee had considered Achennaidu’s apology for making objectionable remarks on the Speaker of the Assembly.
Also, Kuna Ravi was asked by the Privilege Committee to submit evidence in the case.Kakani Govardhan clarified that action would be taken against Kuna Ravi Kumar after the Privilege Committee examines the evidence.
