New Delhi : , Nov 19, 2018 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the three laws he would repeal on Friday were Farmers’ Produce Commerce and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation), Farmers (Empowerment and Protection), Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill (2020), Essential Commodities Amendment (2020) and Farmers (Promotion and Facilitation). The timeline from when they became ordinances is shown below.
This allowed farmers to organize until Friday, when the law was repealed.
June 5, 2020: Three ordinances are brought in by the Centre.They claim that these will introduce reforms long-awaited, so farmers can now sell their produce at higher prices
