The second phase of Amma Vodi scheme in Andhra Pradesh is going to begin from, January 9.The AP Education Minister Audimulapu Suresh has confirmed the news and said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launches the second phase of Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme on that day.According to his statement, parents or guardians of eligible students will have their names in ward/village secretariats on Wednesday.

Andhra Pradesh people are well aware that the parents of economically backward students of class 1 to Intermediate get the financial assistance of rupees 15,000 per year under the Scheme.In the first phase of Amma Vodi scheme, the Andhra Pradesh government has given Rs 6,336 crore to 43,54,600 beneficiaries.

All the students of government schools and colleges are eligible for the Scheme.

The schedule for the selection process of the beneficiaries begins on, December 10.Officials will register the names of parents and guardians eligible for the Scheme.After six days, parents/guardians of eligible students get their names at village/ward secretariats on, December 16.The district collectors will approve the final list on, December 30.
