In the video, people can be seen jumping and clapping in joy after the whale gave birth to a beautiful baby.Their fervour went up as soon as the baby swims to the surface.
Shedd Aquarium took to Twitter to spread the joy stating “BIG NEWS: Bella has given birth to an energetic male calf! The calf was born on 8/21 at 8:42 p.m.after 15 hours of labor.This was a noteworthy birth, with the calf born headfirst instead of the usual fluke-first birth.” (sic).
Whoever witnessed the affectionate video have just one word to comment, and that is ‘fabulous’.Usually, beluga whales have a gestation period of one year, according to Shedd Aquarium.The 14-year-old Bella is a first-time mother, and surprisingly she is also born in the same aquarium on July 17, 2006.
Reportedly, the dark grey baby weighs 139 pounds and measures 5’3’’ in length.
